Tell us about yourself.
I am a Fargo native, but half grew up here and half in Fort Collins, CO when my parents moved my 3 brothers and I down there in 2000. I spent my freshman year of college back here (one semester at Concordia, one at NDSU) before deciding that out of state tuition was a little expensive. I finished my BS in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I also have my MA in Elementary Education and Teaching, and taught K-2 for 8 years.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love so many things! My husband Brian and young son Theodore (Theo) are my world. Together we love reading at the WF public library, taking our springer spaniel Ruthie for walks and playing at our neighborhood park. Personally, I love to cook & bake, craft, read, dig around the garden and get my hands into artsy things.
Tell us about your favorite life experience.
I grew up riding horses and playing the violin – both were wonderful escapes growing up, and I was fortunate enough that playing music took me to Europe in high school.
What is your favorite movie/play/book?
Shamelessly I can quote the Hangover almost word for word. BUT Brian and I saw Rock of Ages on Broadway in NYC years ago and it was fabulous! I’m also a big Harry Potter and Wicked nerd.
What was the first car you owned?
A ’98 GMC Jimmy that didn’t lock (insert facepalm here)
If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Robin Williams – he had a way of bringing joy to so many, so easily and I wish I could just soak in an ounce of that quality of his.
How long have you been at Heartland Trust Company?
Since October of 2025.
What is your favorite part about working at Heartland Trust Company?
The team, support, and feeling of community have already become my favorite parts of HTC.
Do you have a favorite recipe you would like to share?
I have many! Just depends on what the time of day is, but generally I get asked about my cookie recipe the most!
