TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I’ve lived in ND/MN all my life. I can’t imagine living somewhere that doesn’t fully experience all 4 seasons. I’m the proud mother of a 22 year old daughter. I love watching her find her path and how she tackles life’s challenges. I’m grateful for the close relationship we have. I’ve also enjoyed watching Heartland Trust Company grow over the last 20 years. There have been ups, downs, growing pains, and we have faced more challenges than most small businesses. Heartland has overcome, learned, and grew from all of it. In 2005, I was proud to say I worked at Heartland Trust Company. In 2025, I’m still proud to say I work at Heartland Trust Company.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING AT HEARTLAND TRUST?

The people, clients, and co-workers. We have some amazing clients. Working as the receptionist for my first 14 years, I really enjoyed making those connections and growing those relationships with our clients.

Even though the number of people I work with has more than tripled over the last 20 years, the family style culture and everyone’s commitment to do what is in the best interest of our client has not changed.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT HEARTLAND TRUST?

20 years

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

The Breakfast Club (1985)

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU OWNED?

1976 green Chevy Monza that may or may not have been airborne a time or two.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE LIFE EXPERIENCE

Watching the Northern Lights. I’ve seen them a few times but only watched them really dance across the sky once. That night was made even more magical by 3 shooting stars!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?

I’ve really gotten into plants over the last few years. I enjoy caring for them and watching them grow. Summer brings a different kind of fun. I’m a biker and love to go riding. My boyfriend and I have been all over the country on our bikes. The world is more beautiful when you aren’t looking at it through a window (unless it’s hailing).

IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Maya Angelou. What an absolute gift it would have been to visit with this exceptional woman who literally touched the world with her words.
