Office Visit
Our intern from 2015-2016, Derek Algaard, stopped by the office to say hi while he was in Fargo for Thanksgiving. Derek, is a graduate of Concordia College and is now working at Berkley Risk in Reinsurance Program Services. We are proud of Derek’s accomplishments and it was great of him to stop by.
Dickinson State University
Maureen Jelinek’s (COO) son Jack has officially signed to attend Dickinson State University in the fall of 2025. Jack will be a part of the university’s competitive cheer team.
Taylor Swift
Kim Hovland (Admin Associate) and her daughter Bailee attended the Taylor Swift Era’s concert in New Orleans in October!
Disneyland
Kayla Kranda (Director of Operations) and family were able to enjoy a trip to Disneyland in October!
New Grandson
Amy Remmick (RS Operations and Compliance) welcomed grandson Bauer to the family in November!
Caring Catalog
Heartland Trust Company was thrilled to participate in this year’s FM Area Caring Catalog, with a donation to support the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center’s Caring Catalog fundraising goal.
Heart -n- Soul
We hosted a full Thanksgiving meal, featuring turkey, ham, and all the traditional trimmings. The event was organized as a free-will donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Heart and Soul Community Café.

New Hires!
Heartland Trust welcomed the following individual to our team this quarter.
Heartland Trust Company is pleased to announce the addition of Michelle Senger to our team as a Trust Officer. In this role, Michelle will work closely with families, individuals, and businesses to manage wealth and trust accounts, while also supporting Heartland Trust’s 401(k) team.
Originally from Crookston, MN. Michelle is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and holds both the Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) and Certified IRA Professional (CIP) designations.
